CENTRAL JAKARTA · A WEEKLY TABLE OF FIVE · FRIENDSHIP-FIRST
Kuningan meets everyone once: at a lunch, in a lobby, at farewell drinks for someone who just got posted elsewhere. The neighbourhood's whole problem is the second meeting. A weekly table of the same five is the second meeting, institutionalised.
What is Hey Sini?
Hey Sini
nounHey Sini is a weekly social club for making friends as an adult in Jakarta. It seats five compatible people near each other at the same table, on the same night, every week for six weeks, and then the table becomes theirs. It is friendship-first, not a dating app, and it opens neighbourhood by neighbourhood, starting around Senopati.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Why a Kuningan table.
Jl. H.R. Rasuna Said is the axis: the embassy row, the office towers, with Mega Kuningan's ring of hotels and towers tucked behind it. Kuningan City and Mal Ambasador handle the errands, Rasuna Epicentrum and Epiwalk handle the coffee, and the LRT Jabodebek now runs right along the road.
It is one of Jakarta's busiest patches at lunchtime and one of its loneliest at nine, because so many people here are one to three years into the city and their circles reset with every contract. Six weeks at the same table is the counterweight: long enough that the faces stick, whoever comes and goes around you.
WHO IT IS FOR
Made for Kuningan, specifically.
- Consultants, NGO and embassy-adjacent staff on one-to-three-year stints
- First-jobbers in a Rasuna Said tower
- Apartment dwellers around Mega Kuningan who only know their lobby
- Remote workers camped at Epiwalk between calls
- People back from overseas rebuilding a Jakarta circle
HOW IT WORKS HERE
One match, then the same five, every week.
- Getting there
- TransJakarta corridor 6 and the LRT Jabodebek both run along Jl. H.R. Rasuna Said, and the MRT at Setiabudi Astra is one short ojek hop west.
- The rhythm
- Five compatible people near you, the same night, every week for six weeks. We re-seat you if it is not right.
- The cost
- Free to join. A founding seat is Rp 49rb/mo, locked for life. You pay your own bill at the table.
A Kuningan table lands off Rasuna Said or around the Mega Kuningan ring: a long table at Epiwalk, a quiet spot behind the towers. We suggest the place via Google Maps, the five of you confirm it, and we never book the venue or take venue money.
KUNINGAN QUESTIONS
Before you sit down.
Everyone I meet in Kuningan seems to leave within two years. What is the point?
That churn is exactly why repetition matters. Six weekly dinners build more friendship than a year of lobby small talk, and the table keeps meeting after the six weeks if you keep it. Some circles outlast the postings that started them.
What night does a Kuningan table meet?
The one night all five of you said you could keep. You give us your nights when you sign up, we find the overlap, and the table stays on that night every week so nobody renegotiates the calendar.
