¶ MELBOURNE-BUILT · OPENING IN JAKARTA

A quieter way tofind your Jakartacircle.

You already know the good places. The harder part is a circle that actually shows up. Hey Sini is a Melbourne-built social club that seats five well-matched people at the same table, the same night, every week for six weeks. No swiping. No loud networking. No dating-app energy.

What is Hey Sini?

Hey Sini

noun

Hey Sini is a weekly social club for making friends as an adult in Jakarta. It seats five compatible people near each other at the same table, on the same night, every week for six weeks, and then the table becomes theirs. It is friendship-first, not a dating app, and it opens neighbourhood by neighbourhood, starting around Senopati.

¶ WHAT IT IS NOT

Not another mixer.

  • Not a dating app
  • Not a networking night
  • Not a language exchange
  • Not a one-off dinner with strangers

Most ways to meet people in Jakarta introduce you once. Hey Sini is built for the opposite: repetition. The same five, the same night, so acquaintances finally have the time to become yours.

¶ THREE WAYS TO SIT

Coffee, dinner, or a slow weekend.

Pick the table that fits you. Lower pressure or a proper meal, your call.

  • Coffee table

    Weeknight, after the macet

Lowest pressure and easiest for a first time. Kopi susu and a real conversation.

  • Dinner table

    Weeknight, around 7:30pm

The classic. A long table, a shared bill, the strongest bonding.

  • Weekend table

    Saturday lunch or Sunday brunch

For newcomers and anyone who would rather skip the nightlife.

WHAT A TUESDAY LOOKS LIKE

Kopi, a long table, the same faces.

NO PITCHING · NO NAME TAGS · JUST SHOWING UP

The best circle in Jakarta is not the loudest room. It is the small table that keeps happening, on the same night, until the people stop being strangers.

¶ WHERE IT OPENS

First tables, by district.

We open one pocket at a time, where enough people nearby can fill a table. You already know the places; we bring the people.

  • North

    PIK · PIK2 · Pluit · Muara Karang · Kelapa Gading

  • South & SCBD

    SCBD · Senopati · Kemang · Blok M · Dharmawangsa · Tebet

  • Central

    Menteng · Kuningan · Setiabudi · Sudirman

  • Greater Jabodetabek

BSD · Alam Sutera · Gading Serpong · Bintaro

AFTER WORK, NOT NETWORKING

The same table, every week.

Five well-matched people, one recurring table, the same night, until a room of strangers becomes your circle.

¶ WHO IT IS FOR

For all of Jakarta, not just expats.

Hey Sini is broad on purpose. If you are building a circle from scratch, it is for you.

  • People who just moved to the city
  • Indonesians back from studying or working overseas
  • Students and fresh graduates
  • Remote workers tired of solo cafes
  • Expats who want more than an expat bubble
  • Anyone rebuilding a circle from scratch

¶ COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you sit down.

Is Hey Sini in Jakarta in English or Bahasa Indonesia?

Both. The table is whatever language the five of you share. This page has a Bahasa Indonesia version, and you can switch the whole site between English and Bahasa any time.

Is this only for expats?

No. Hey Sini in Jakarta is built for locals, new arrivals, Indonesians back from overseas, students, remote workers and expats alike. You are seated on your vibe, your area, and the one night you can keep, never on where you are from.

How much does it cost in Jakarta?

Free to join. A founding seat is Rp 49rb per month, locked for life, which holds your recurring table. That is less than one nongkrong. You pay for your own food and drinks; we never take venue money.

Is it a dating app?

It starts with friendship: a table of five who keep showing up. You do not swipe strangers for a seat. We match you once and bring the same five back every week, so acquaintances have time to become friends.

Which areas of Jakarta are open?

We open one pocket at a time, Jaksel-first (Senopati, Kemang, Blok M, Tebet and out), and across greater Jabodetabek from BSD to Bekasi. An area opens once enough people nearby have signed up to fill a table.

Do you seat tables by background?

Never. We seat on your declared vibe, your neighbourhood and the one night you can keep, and we balance on gender only. We never sort a table by ethnicity, religion, nationality or where you are from. Strangers meeting across all of that is the whole point.

OPENING NOW

Forming founding tables across Jaksel.

We open one pocket at a time, from Senopati and Kemang out across Jabodetabek, the moment an area can fill a table. Founding seats lock the price for life.
