Make friends inSenopati.

Senopati is where Jakarta's good dinners happen, mostly for other people. The restaurant row is a ten-minute walk end to end; the hard part has never been the table, it is the four other chairs.

What is Hey Sini?

Hey Sini

noun

Hey Sini is a weekly social club for making friends as an adult in Jakarta. It seats five compatible people near each other at the same table, on the same night, every week for six weeks, and then the table becomes theirs. It is friendship-first, not a dating app, and it opens neighbourhood by neighbourhood, starting around Senopati.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Why a Senopati table.

Jl. Senopati and its side streets, Jl. Suryo and Jl. Gunawarman, are one long restaurant row: coffee that takes itself seriously by day, wine bars and long dinners by night, all a short walk from the towers of SCBD. It fills with people whose offices are five minutes away and whose friends are forty.

Pasar Santa sits a short hop away, the traditional market whose upstairs turned into coffee counters, vinyl crates and tiny kitchens: proof the pocket rewards regulars. The strip itself is low-rise, shophouse dining rooms and terraces one street back from the towers, kitchens that expect you to linger. For a weekly table it is almost unfair: the format already exists, all that is missing is the recurring five.

WHO IT IS FOR

Made for Senopati, specifically.

  • SCBD and Sudirman office workers who would rather not go straight home
  • First-jobbers saving the Senopati row for a night that deserves it
  • People back from overseas who miss having a standing restaurant crew
  • Anyone who reads about every new Senopati opening and has nobody to test it with
  • Remote workers who camp in Senopati cafes by day and vanish by night

HOW IT WORKS HERE

One match, then the same five, every week.

Getting there
Senopati is a short ride from the Senayan and ASEAN MRT stations and a genuine walk from SCBD; door to door, most of the strip is easiest by ride-hail.
The rhythm
Five compatible people near you, the same night, every week for six weeks. We re-seat you if it is not right.
The cost
Free to join. A founding seat is Rp 49rb/mo, locked for life. You pay your own bill at the table.

A Senopati table lands on the row itself: Jl. Senopati, Jl. Suryo or Jl. Gunawarman, somewhere with a long table and no rush to turn it. We suggest the spot via Google Maps, the five of you confirm it, and we never book it or take venue money.

SENOPATI QUESTIONS

Before you sit down.

Is Senopati too expensive for a weekly table?

You pay your own bill, so the table sets its own level: the row runs from serious kopi to special-occasion rooms, and five people deciding together tend to land somewhere sensible. Dues (Rp 49rb a month for a founding seat) hold your chair, not the menu.

I work near Senopati but live across town. Should I still pick it?

Pick where your evenings actually happen. If your nights end near the office, a Senopati table saves you the second commute; if they end at home, pick your home pocket instead. One night you can genuinely keep beats a fancy address.
