SOUTH JAKARTA & SCBD · A WEEKLY TABLE OF FIVE · FRIENDSHIP-FIRST
Pondok Indah has the boulevards, the golf course, and a mall people cross the city for. What it quietly lacks, if you did not grow up here, is a way in. A weekly table of five is the way in.
What is Hey Sini?
Hey Sini
nounHey Sini is a weekly social club for making friends as an adult in Jakarta. It seats five compatible people near each other at the same table, on the same night, every week for six weeks, and then the table becomes theirs. It is friendship-first, not a dating app, and it opens neighbourhood by neighbourhood, starting around Senopati.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Why a Pondok Indah table.
Pondok Indah is the south's grand old plan: wide boulevards off Jl. Metro Pondok Indah, houses behind hedges, the golf course in the middle, and Pondok Indah Mall (PIM) as the default answer to almost any evening. It is one of the few Jakarta neighbourhoods actually designed to be lived in.
The result is a neighbourhood of very different chapters: families who have been here thirty years, people back from overseas landing in a family house, renters who came for the trees. The MRT's southern terminus at Lebak Bulus is minutes away and the JORR skirts the neighbourhood, so getting to one table a week is the easy part.
WHO IT IS FOR
Made for Pondok Indah, specifically.
- People back from years overseas, landing in a family house that feels quiet now
- Anyone who grew up here and watched the school friends scatter
- Renters who moved for the trees and the quiet, then found it a bit too quiet
- People whose social life is currently the PIM food hall, solo
- Anyone who wants a standing plan that does not require crossing the city
HOW IT WORKS HERE
One match, then the same five, every week.
- Getting there
- The MRT's southern terminus at Lebak Bulus is right next door, and the JORR toll skirts the neighbourhood, so the train and the car route are both easy.
- The rhythm
- Five compatible people near you, the same night, every week for six weeks. We re-seat you if it is not right.
- The cost
- Free to join. A founding seat is Rp 49rb/mo, locked for life. You pay your own bill at the table.
A Pondok Indah table usually lands around PIM or the restaurant rows off Jl. Metro Pondok Indah: somewhere comfortable that lets five people take their time. We suggest the spot via Google Maps, the five of you confirm it, and we never book the venue or take venue money.
PONDOK INDAH QUESTIONS
Before you sit down.
Isn't Pondok Indah mostly families?
That is exactly why a table helps. Between the family homes are plenty of people in their twenties and thirties: back from overseas, renting for the quiet, or grown up here with the school friends scattered. The table gives you a local circle of your own, not one borrowed from the household.
Do I need a car for a Pondok Indah table?
It helps in the deep south, but no. The MRT ends at Lebak Bulus next door, and most tables land around PIM or the main boulevards, an easy last hop by ride-hail. Pick the night you can keep and the geography sorts itself.
