NORTH JAKARTA · A WEEKLY TABLE OF FIVE · FRIENDSHIP-FIRST
Kelapa Gading is the neighbourhood people cross the city to eat in, and somehow the people who actually live here still end up eating alone. Six weeks, one table, the same five: that is the fix.
What is Hey Sini?
Hey Sini

It seats five compatible people near each other at the same table, on the same night, every week for six weeks, and then the table becomes theirs. It is friendship-first, not a dating app, and it opens neighbourhood by neighbourhood, starting around Senopati.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Why a Kelapa Gading table.
The food is the whole personality, and it is a good one: Jl. Boulevard Raya and its side streets stack noodle houses, seafood tents and dessert shops closer together than anywhere else in Jakarta, with Mall Kelapa Gading, La Piazza and MOI holding down the indoor hours. Summarecon has been building this neighbourhood since the seventies, so unlike the north's newer pockets, it has had time to grow regulars.
It is also quietly full of people in the same spot: adult kids of families who settled here decades ago, first-jobbers who found the rent friendlier than the south, remote workers who never really need to leave. Everyone has a favourite bakmi and nobody to argue about it with. And the LRT now runs from the Boulevard stations down to Velodrome, so a standing Gading table does not even need a car.
WHO IT IS FOR
Made for Kelapa Gading, specifically.
- First-jobbers who grew up here and watched their school friends scatter across the city
- New arrivals who picked Gading for the food and the friendlier rent
- Remote workers with a rotation of cafes and nobody to rotate with
- Anyone who eats down Boulevard Raya alone and is tired of it
- People back from overseas study or work, restarting a circle at home
HOW IT WORKS HERE
One match, then the same five, every week.
- Getting there
- The LRT Jakarta stops twice inside the neighbourhood (Boulevard Utara and Boulevard Selatan), and everything else is a short ride down Jl. Boulevard Raya.
- The rhythm
- Five compatible people near you, the same night, every week for six weeks. We re-seat you if it is not right.
- The cost
- Free to join. A founding seat is Rp 49rb/mo, locked for life. You pay your own bill at the table.
A Gading table usually lands on or just off Jl. Boulevard Raya: a bakmi house with a long table, a seafood tent, a dessert place for the second hour, or La Piazza when it drizzles. We suggest the spot via Google Maps, the five of you confirm it, and we never book it or take venue money.
KELAPA GADING QUESTIONS
Before you sit down.
Where does a Kelapa Gading table actually eat?
Wherever the five of you decide, and in Gading that is the fun part: the table can work its way down Boulevard Raya week by week, bakmi one week, seafood the next. We suggest a starting spot via Google Maps; the rotation after that is yours.
I grew up in Kelapa Gading. Is this still for me?
Especially you. Growing up somewhere and watching your people scatter is its own way of starting from scratch. You are seated on your declared vibe, your area and the one night you can keep, with four compatible people who are also actually here. The table stays local, and after six weeks it is yours.
