Make friends inGrogol.

Grogol is one of the most student-dense corners of Jakarta, which is exactly why it can feel so anonymous: everyone is passing through between class, kost and the ride home. A standing weekly table gives the week one fixed point.

What is Hey Sini?

Hey Sini

noun

Hey Sini is a weekly social club for making friends as an adult in Jakarta. It seats five compatible people near each other at the same table, on the same night, every week for six weeks, and then the table becomes theirs. It is friendship-first, not a dating app, and it opens neighbourhood by neighbourhood, starting around Senopati.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Why a Grogol table.

Grogol runs on its campuses: Trisakti and Untar sit side by side where Jl. Kyai Tapa meets Jl. Letjen S. Parman, and the kost streets behind them hold half the neighbourhood. Mal Ciputra anchors the corner, Terminal Grogol churns under the flyover, and the food rows of Tanjung Duren are a short walk west.

It is a neighbourhood built for meeting people once (an orientation, a group assignment, a queue at the fotocopy) and terrible at meeting them twice. That is the part a same-five, same-night table fixes.

WHO IT IS FOR

Made for Grogol, specifically.

  • Trisakti and Untar students who only ever see classmates in class
  • Anyone in a Grogol or Tanjung Duren kost cooking for one again
  • First-jobbers along S. Parman who head straight home after the macet

HOW IT WORKS HERE

One match, then the same five, every week.

Getting there
TransJakarta corridors 3 and 9 cross at Grogol, and most of the neighbourhood is walkable from the Kyai Tapa and S. Parman stops.
The rhythm
Five compatible people near you, the same night, every week for six weeks. We re-seat you if it is not right.
The cost
Free to join. A founding seat is Rp 49rb/mo, locked for life. You pay your own bill at the table.

A Grogol table usually lands around Mal Ciputra or the food rows of Tanjung Duren: somewhere cheap enough for a student budget and calm enough to talk. We suggest the spot via Google Maps, the five of you confirm it, and we never book it or take venue money.

GROGOL QUESTIONS

Before you sit down.

Is Hey Sini good for Trisakti or Untar students?

It is built for exactly that gap. Campus introduces you to hundreds of people once; a Grogol table seats you with four compatible people near campus, on a night you can keep around classes, and it opens as enough people nearby sign up.
